1/72 Scale – Playset: WWII Pegasus Bridge Airborne Assault

The assault on the Bénouville Bridge was immortalized in the film “The Longest Day”. On 6th June 1944, Major John Howard, led his British airborne assault group against the German unit guarding the bridge. In what was a brief but fierce action the British took their objective and held the bridge, which was later named Pegasus Bridge, until relieved. Italeri’s set includes a 1/72nd MDF Laser cut replica of the bridge (needs assembling and painting), 50 German Infantrymen, 50 British Airborne troopers, 1 Opel Blitz truck, 1 Kubelwagen, 1 Pak 40, 1 Pak 35, 1 Flak 38, 9 German gunners, and a variety of battlefield accessories.
